{"id":39,"date":"2020-04-27T23:37:25","date_gmt":"2020-04-27T23:37:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipes.fredweston.net\/?p=39"},"modified":"2020-05-20T05:24:15","modified_gmt":"2020-05-20T05:24:15","slug":"pepper-steak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes.fredweston.net\/index.php\/2020\/04\/27\/pepper-steak\/","title":{"rendered":"Pepper Steak"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SEE NOTES BELOW<\/p>\n<p>INGREDIENTS<br \/>\n2 tbsp. rice wine vinegar<br \/>\n4 tsp. packed brown sugar<br \/>\n1 tbsp. cornstarch<br \/>\n2 tbsp. vegetable oil, divided<br \/>\nKosher salt<br \/>\nFreshly ground black pepper<br \/>\n1 lb. flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain<br \/>\n1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced<br \/>\n1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced<br \/>\n1\/4 c. low-sodium soy sauce<br \/>\n3 cloves garlic, minced<br \/>\n1 tbsp. freshly minced ginger<br \/>\nMushrooms<br \/>\n1 Onion, chopped<br \/>\nCooked white rice, for serving<\/p>\n<p>INSTRUCTIONS<\/p>\n<p>1) Make sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk the soy sauce with the vinegar, sugar, and cornstarch. Set aside.<br \/>\n2) In a large skillet over high heat, heat 1 tablespoon oil. Add flank steak, season with salt, and cook<br \/>\nuntil cooked through and seared on all sides, about 8 minutes. Remove steak to a plate.<br \/>\n3) Add 1 tablespoon remaining oil and red and green bell peppers to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 4 minutes.<br \/>\nAdd the garlic and ginger and cook stirring until fragrant.
